What to Expect
Canine Massage utilises four massage techniques, Swedish, sports, deep tissue and myofascial release encompassing over 50 techniques, supporting the treatment of dogs suffering from both chronic and acute conditions, including orthopaedic problems, soft tissue damage, genetic disease, age associated issues and anxiety related disorders with results usually being seen in 1 to 4 sessions.
Every treatment is uniquely tailored to your dog.
First session will include
Consultation including medical & behavioural history and activities of daily living (ADL) Assessment
A discussion on expectations of the massage therapy
Gait and postural analysis if necessary
Superficial palpation
45-50-minute massage therapy session
Feedback
After massage care and other recommendations
Most issues will require a maximum of two or three 45 to 60 minute follow up sessions, although some dogs need less.
The legal bit
I respect the Veterinary Surgeons Act 1966 and Exemption Order 2015 by never working upon an animal without gaining prior veterinary approval.
